NEW BEARING KIT for RYOBI 40v ELECTRIC LAWNMOWER MOTOR Fixes Endplay Problems. DOES YOUR MOTOR SHAFT SLIDE UP and DOWN SLIGHTLY? Thats ENDPLAY and this kit will fix it. BRAND NEW upper and lower BEARING SET for RYOBI 40v ELECTRIC LAWNMOWER MOTOR. INCLUDES only the upper and lower bearings, and a new 'dust cap'. DOES NOT INCLUDE A 40V MOTOR. Some Pictures are for illustrative and instructional purposes, so you know how to install the new bearings. These are great motors, but the bearings do go bad. These are easy to replace. YOU WILL NEED SAFETY GLASSES and a 3mm Allen wrench to disassemble the motor (3 bolts). YOU WILL NEED A deep well 1/4" drive Craftsman Socket and small hammer to drive the old bearings out. Peel and stick decal over exposed part of upper bearing to keep dust and dirt out. IMPORTANT do not drive the new bearings all the way in. Install them 4/5's of the way in. When you assemble the motor (carefully and equally on each side) the bolts will 'pull' upper and lower caps and drive the bearings the final way in, BUT NOT TO FAR (which is what you might do if you don't follow this install method). If you need more instructions on how to get the motor out. There are lots of videos on you tube that will show you how to do that. One of the bearings is taller than the other. Make sure you get the correct one in each cap. Use a much larger socket to install them. Line the 3 Allen bolts up and CAREFULLY TAP the lower bearing cap with a large socket util you can CAREFULLY thread the bolts in. Then equally back and forth on all sides to get it together and the bearings will seat themselves perfectly.
