Product Description: KATAI Pottery Bat Set with Sculpting Tool Kit and Bat Pins Pottery Wheel Bats Pottery wheel bats are extremely convenient tools to have in a ceramics studio. They are flat discs that attach to a pottery wheel head and are available in a variety of sizes and shapes. They are made from a variety of different materials such as; plastic, wood and plaster. Typically pottery heads have two holes that fit snugly onto a pair of bat pins that are inserted into your wheel head. Once it is attached to the wheel head, then you can work directly on the bat. You can then lift it off your wheel head, with the thrown pot, without disrupting your work. Easy to Use By drying your pots on your square inserts you are saving precious space in your studio. To use your bat system simply lift the inner bats from the insert tab in the outer bat by using your fingers or a flat potter's tool. Heavy Duty Materials Your pottery wheel bats help protect your work and your valuable equipment. The bat and the pot can be easily removed from the potter's wheel head so there is no need to directly handle your creations. Your inserts are made out of durable masonite and the outer bat is made from a very strong and water/warp-resistant exterior grade wood material. Do not leave your outer bat or inserts sitting in water. Just gently clean and dry.
